Producing the perfect thread begins with drilling a quality hole.

Drilled holes that are symmetrical and in the precise location will inevitably improve the quality of the thread that is generated by a tap or thread mill. Emuge offers a complete line of Carbide High Penetration Rate drills designed especially to produce the roundest, most accurate holes, improving the quality of any subsequent threading process. Whether the goal is to produce the finest threads possible or just create accurate holes quickly and efficiently, Emuge has the drilling solution.

Universal Design

Emuge EF-Series of high penetration rate carbide drills are designed to run faster, longer and with greater accuracy then conventional high speed steel or carbide drills. EF-Series drills eliminated the need for pre-spot drills, and peck cycles due to a unique flute and point geometry that creates short, manageable chip formations. Best suited for CNC machine applications.

Stainless Steel & Titanium Alloys

Emuge EF-Series of high penetration rate carbide drills are designed to run faster, longer and with greater accuracy then conventional high speed steel or carbide drills. EF-Series drills eliminated the need for pre-spot drills, and peck cycles due to a unique flute and point geometry that creates short, manageable chip formations. Best suited for CNC machine applications. The EF-VA Series is designed specifically for Stainless Steel and Titanium Alloy applications where heat generation is
a major concern. Materials with thermal elastic memory are best suited for this single margin flute design.

Carbide Coolant Fed

Emuge EF-Micro coolant fed carbide drills are part of the EF-Series of high penetration rate drill series. These sub-micro grain carbide drills can replace conventional cobalt style drills and start at 0.75 mm (0.0295”) up to 3.0 mm (0.1181”) diameter and are a coolant through design. EF-Micro drills are high performance drills that are used extensively in the medical, aerospace and precision machining industries. These high precision drills provide longer and repeatable tool life and eliminate the need for peck-drilling while providing precise finished hole location values. Designed for CNC drilling applications with fine filtration units.
